We got two kitties this week, Violet and Fern! They are eight-week-old sisters. Violet is calico and her name is fitting because she is a shrinking violet (she's shy). Fern is striped with some orange blotches and is more outgoing. They are going to share my soon-to-be studio with me (of course, they'll be allowed in the rest of the house soon, but I want them to warm up slowly); it's the only room that they can be in if I need to close them in because they are being naughty or I have the door to the outside open (unfortunately, bathrooms aren't an option in my house). Therefore, it will force me to keep super tidy and have everything in containers because the kitties aren't allowed to play with supplies. The girls are either super busy and play-fighting with each other or sleeping cuddled up in a dark corner, so pictures at this point are difficult to achieve:
Violet is on the left and Fern on the right. The plastic is one of those things you put under your desk so that your chair can roll effectively; it is working temporarily to keep the carpet clean from food, water and litter until I get the studio situated.
Violet's cute little face; Fern was moving around too much for a cute face picture.
