I was recently scrolling through the Creature Comforts blog and came upon this photo (post here):
It's from the Big Chill website and it's a photo that Martha did for the magazine (well, I'm sure Martha didn't take the picture, but you know what I mean).
Anyway, it made me think of my citrus theme that I'm considering for my home. Pink lemonade fits with a citrus theme doesn't it? Or maybe pink grapefruit? Imagine this chair that I bought with the wood a striking yellow:
Possibly...maybe it would be a bit garish...but the right yellow (pale?) may work! Then, I wouldn't have to reupholster it, since it's in fine condition, or the wingback chair that I just got from Mary! It sounds a bit strange to paint the wood on an upholstered piece without taking the upholstery off, but I wonder if I could pull back the upholstery with my fingers and tape it then paint...anyone ever tried that?
Thoughts?
Oh, this pink lemonade talk has me thinking of a blog post on poppytalk from last week featuring Fresher than Fresh in Kansas City. Aaaah, gourmet, all natural snow cones!
And, they're served in this little cutie:

Also featured was HEARTSCHALLENGER, a fresh version of the ice cream man...a revamped mail delivery "jeep" painted pink that sells not only ice cream, but candies and toys from all over the world!
I just had to share these lovely little business...they certainly make me happy that they exist, even if they are far from here and I don't get to partake!
I love the citrus kitchen - perfect! And I love that chair just the way it is! Would never work with my two kitties, though ....
