Last year, we planted some wildflowers in a container (I know, it sounds like an oxymoron) for a little green and color. I let the plants go to seed and then when they had died, I cut them down to about two inches high. So, a few weeks ago, the new plants really started growing and now I have at least three species in bloom or bud. It's pretty breezy here today (ah, what a change from last week's over 100 degree temperature), so I moved the container to a sheltered spot to photograph them; normally, they are in a nice and sunny spot where they can be watered by the sprinklers - bonus!
