It is so nice to see pictures of the things I make in their new homes! Here's a Moss Jar that a fabulous customer adopted...

Maybe you would guess that there would be Lichen Jars to be friends with the Moss Jars, and you would be right!
I listed my first Lichen Jar this morning...and oh my goodness...it already sold! Yipee!
Still, I want to share because there will be more soon (well, as soon as I make them)....
Lichen Jar 1 really feels like spring to me.
Like Moss Jar 6 (spring), there are goodies inside. Lichen Jar 1 has:
* 5 yards of vintage yellow embroidery floss on a vintage wooden spool.* 5 vintage yellow pins.
* 9 buttons (a couple of which may be vintage) from my stash.
See the little oval on the jar (and a few other jars I've listed had them too)? It's for a canning label...you can label the contents!
I suppose I'd better get back to making jars!
Oh, and I just got back from the PO and a quick thrifting trip with Boo. I can't believe what I found! I'll share pictures soon...stay tuned! ;)
I thought I'd post a bit about Easter...it's coming up so fast! This week at Boo's preschool, there is experimentation with dying eggs, so I've been thinking about eggs quite a bit. I found some really cute crocheted ones recently while thrifting with Jenny....
I always look for holiday stuff when I'm thrifting and on the trip that I found these, I wasn't having any luck. Then I noticed a really dingy plastic bag tied off at the top with these little gems in them. They were really cute, but I was hesitant to buy something in a dingy bag (and they looked dingy themselves). But, Jenny made the points that they were $1, some sweet little old grandma probably made them, and that I could stick them in a delicates bag and throw them in the washing machine - sold! I washed them and they pilled a bit, but after trimming off the little pills, here they are in their fussy grandma glory!
Oh, and yes, they all three have little chicks in them!

Jessica of Miniature Rhino makes the most lovely pieces and she is simply a peach! I love this Tree Stump....Doesn't it look at home?
I'm wanting to collect up a grouping of little pieces from others...this is the first.

There have been a couple of references on the Poppytalk blog lately of Herriott Grace (here and here) and the photographs in the shop are stunning. What's lovely about the photographs is that they are in low-light. (I know that it's a trend right now, but this shop is the epitome of low-light photos.) One doesn't need a lot of light to have amazing photographs (I live in Oregon afterall)...but they do still have to be styled nicely....

I'm very excited about these; they're Moss Jars for the seasons! I'm planning on making one per season, and each with a theme! And filled with loads of goodies for inspiration!
This jar is carefully curated with sewing notions and craft supplies inspired by Easter eggs:
Here's a list of what's inside:
* vintage yellow 100% nylon stretch lace seam binding - 3 yards* vintage pink 100% polyester rick rack - 2 1/2 yards
* cross stitching ribbon (white with a yellow scalloped edge - super cute) 90% polyester, 10% cotton - 1 yard
* hot pink sewing tape measure
* vintage green embroidery floss on a vintage wooden spool - 5 yards
* vintage set of 4 coat hooks and eyes
* vintage set of 2 hand needles (tapestry)
* 5 yellow sewing pins (and an extra holding the cross stitch ribbon together)
* 15 buttons (a few of which may be vintage) from my stash
Those hand needles would also be great for kids to use (they're dull)!
In the mood for dying eggs now?

I saw these shoes on Oh Joy! the other day and I can't stop thinking about them. This never happens to me with shoes....I'm super practical and wear clogs with great arch support and such. But, these seem to have fairly decent arches, don't they?
Sigh. Wouldn't they be lovely with a cute little skirt and orange-painted toes?
